FirebaseError - Issues after migration

I migrate/replaced old Firebase DB component with new one. After that these issues are occurring.

I removed one signal components but still issuing.

It looks like there’s still some trace of it left (I’m basing this on the fact that all users who received this error had it caused by OneSignal.)
, could you double-check once more to remove any doubt?

Are you using any extensions?

Hi Boss, this error has been occurring ever since we changed how we fetch data from Firebase. It only happens when testing directly on the Component app; once the APK is exported, the error disappears. I also mentioned this issue in a post here: https://community.kodular.io/t/firebase-database-crash-nullpointerexception-tolowercase/320206/148, but it hasn’t been resolved yet.

In the Firebase migration guide, it is clearly explained why it doesn’t work in the Companion.

Which may make things more complex, like export and test, if its not working have to re-export again, about the RTB wouldn’t be arranged like that, every test ends in export?

Workaround are available out here, @RaYzZz is this from Firebase itself?

I’m on the Web component team :grin: I recommend switching to it until a solution that works in Companion is found.

Like why are we supposed to use RTDB only in APK? :smiling_face: So how about the debugging process?

I’m not sure how to proceed other than being very careful and trying to avoid as many errors as possible.

I don’t know if it makes sense, but one approach could be to download the entire database and store it in a variable, then emulate the Firebase logic using procedures.
Once the code is confirmed to work, it could then be moved into the actual Firebase blocks.

But I should add that I’m pretty tired, so I’m not sure if this is nonsense or if it could actually work :grin:
