Great start , good luck till now I couldn’t make a simple single extension

Sure it is not a revolutionary extension like background extension or customwebview extension, for example, but you just gave your first step.
As time passes you will think about others interesting extensions that will be more unique and useful.
May be you keep the idea of working with youtube api and make an extension that makes easier to work wih youtube videos, for example.
Anyway, my point is, don’t be so negative with yourself. Be proud of your effort.

Please also follow the naming conventions…
If you are developing an extension, then please follow the naming conventions, which is UpperCamelCase for the package name as well as for property, method and event names (i.e. the first letter should be a capital letter) and lowerCamelCase for parameter names, no underscores .
