Perfect Tool!!
Excellent work dude. But i Don’t know why we need adaptive icon.
You can learn about adaptive icons in detail by reading following article:
Or this:
can you explain me in some simple words
Adaptive icons, as its name implies, adapt to different shapes and sizes as required by the launcher.
Well, see this topic:
If you don’t update your app icon to adaptive now, your app’s icon will show up in launcher like in the above topic.
To solve the problem and having a perfectly shaped icon, you’ve to update your icon.
See following gifs
Your icon (inner layer) will remain same but outer layer will be changed according to launcher settings.
And your icon will not be cutout.

Hey there @FahadAhmad
It’s such an easy tutorial …
But I have a question
If I uploaded the adaptive icon on kodular it will be square. Right?
Then whenever I send a push notification using onesignal then the notification bar icon will be like
It doesn’t seem well…
So if I edited and cropped some area of it and made it a transparent png then it will somehow look like this on notification bar
.
.
Will this edited affect the adaptiveness of the icon?
Yup! That’s really an issue I didn’t notice before.
It really doesn’t look good.
Maybe, @Kodular team can answer this well.
Ca we upload zip file to app icon in kodular ?
No, you have to upload image file (better PNG).
Then where will we use all folders generated by easyappicon
They generate icons for all screen resolutions and can be used in Android Studio projects.
We don’t have to worry about that in Kodular.
Just follow the guide:
I recently uploaded an app to Samsung store. Icon is not visible on sm-g973f and many Similar higher resolution phones .
Moderators from Samsung sent this showing icon is not visible
000004933545_637275557032486315.zip (2.4 MB)
If you could test apk of this in your phone and whether you see app icon.
amitabh_bachchan_kbc_game (1).apk (9.2 MB)
But what will be the dimensions for our icon?
It would be 512x512 as required by PlayStore:
but that icon will be displayed on playstore right… Im asking about the sizing required for the icon on kodular
Ok so for playstore dimensions are 512 x 512 px but six dimensions are given for app icon so any of the six dimesnion will work for our kodular app icon?
Just try it.
Just add logo with 1:1 ratio
