Hello everyone
I’m new to Kodular and I’m currently working on a savings app where users can save money daily. I would appreciate any guidance on how to get started and which components are best to use for this kind of app.
@Sour_Plug Welcome
if you say
Do you mean you don’t know anything about block coding or any other programming? If yes then
Will this needs user make to deposits inside your app? As mobile savings or just save things as notes?
Sorry i don’t know if you get what i mean
A very good way to learn App Inventor or Kodular is to read the free Inventor’s Manual here in the AI2 free online eBook App Inventor 2 Book: Create Your Own Android Apps … the links are at the bottom of the Web page. The book ‘teaches’ users how to program with AI2 blocks.
There is a free programming course here Course In A Box and the aia files for the projects in the book are here: App Inventor 2 Book: Create Your Own Android Apps
How to do a lot of basic things with App Inventor are described here: How do you...? .

Yes exactly what I’m talking about they can make to there deposit and pay there bills
@Sour_Plug building a real money savings app, where users will
Deposit actual money and
Use that money to pay bills (like a mobile bank or wallet)
That changes things completely.
This is not just a note-taking or fake tracker app. You’re now talking about,
A real fintech system with money transactions, so here’s what you need to consider,
Requirements for a Real Money Savings App
| Requirement | Purpose | Skill Level |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Payment Integration | To allow users to deposit or withdraw money | |
| 2. Firebase Authentication | Login, signup, protect user accounts | |
| 3. Firebase Realtime Database | Store balance, history, goals | |
| 4. Transaction Logic | Add/subtract from balances accurately | |
| 5. Bill Payment APIs (e.g. Airtime, Electricity) | Pay utility bills or send money | |
| 6. Strong Security Rules | Protect money and user data | |
| 7. Admin Dashboard | So you (the owner) manage user deposits and payments |
Important Warnings
-
Kodular does not support real mobile money APIs directly — unless you use,
- External payment gateway like Flutterwave, Paystack, Stripe
- Web APIs connected with Web component or extensions
-
You will need,
- Legal permission to handle user money
- Backend (PHP, Node.js, etc.) to manage payments safely
- Optionally, a registered business or company
Simplified Approach to Start
If you’re still new, start with fake tracking version (just showing amounts and history), then later,
- Add a payment API (example: Flutterwave)
- Link your bank or mobile money to receive deposits
- Build trust before dealing with real cash
Example Workflow You’re Aiming For,
- User logs in
- Adds funds via mobile money or card
- Funds shown in dashboard
- User pays bills or saves for later
- You track it in Firebase or external DB
Final Advice:
You’re not building just a Kodular app — you’re building a fintech platform. This takes,
Real-world security
Trust and legal systems
APIs and advanced tech
Exactly what I’m saying how can i get started please
@Sour_Plug this is something serious also you cant do it without proper permissions {in my country}
So first learn how to create heavy apps,
Thanks to Taifun, he already drop the guide for this
I mentioned all needed things
Happy Koding
