Image size & RAM usage

Why kodular (or any other app inventor) has all the images in ‘assets’ folder ?
for apps made with android studio, the images are in drawable (mdpi, hdpi, xhdpi etc.) folders. And according to their method multiple versions of the same image is packed in the app in order to support different devices. While in Kodular the app has to use the same large sized (we have to upload the image in xxhdpi to support all resolution devices) image in all devices.
Will that be the reason why apps made with kodular or other app inventors consume a lot of RAM than the ones made with android studio ?

The assets are only stored in the assets folder when you use the companion. You can safely delete that folder.

then where are these files located in the apk ?
