I purchased the ‘Premium’ version a few days ago.
Last night I ran some tests developing a very simple app to see the new features compared to MIT APP Inventor, with which I’ve never had any problems.
This morning I reopened the app and got some warning messages that I don’t know what they mean or how serious they are.
“The blocks area did not load properly
Changes to the blocks for screen 5686434137636864_Screen1 will not be saved.”
The message appears both with about ten blocks and without them!
I seem to notice that Kodular, despite having some good features,
is not very stable, and that’s making me anxious!
Sometimes it happens when you deleted component/extension then refreshing/exiting the browser without serving current data, which of this could you predict you did in your case?
May i request Our dearly @RaYzZz to help you, as he did last time with my project too
And this is a great lesson on the importance of backups
(in any context)
Anyway, if it’s not a huge project, it’s faster to recreate it from scratch.
If you want to try repairing it and it doesn’t contain sensitive data, you can publish your project here, otherwise, send it to me privately.
These are small, silly test apps that I use to see the new features compared to MITAPP Inventor!
I purchased Kodular Premium 10 days ago and am testing it.
I make backups of all the software I develop, perhaps even too many!!
The problem is that if a software crashes during testing, what happens to it in the future?
I’ve used MitApp Inventor for small, fun apps for myself and for small, faster-developed apps with few operations for clients.
I come from a stable, professional system (B4A), but for small applications, I’ve been happy with MIT APP Inventor and now I wanted to switch to Kodular because it has better features and, being more commercial, I think it should be trusted more!
Anyway, backups aside, I don’t think it’s a good idea to say ‘start from scratch’.
It’s true that backups exist, but I believe time should be invested in development, not recreating or restarting from a backup made three hours earlier!
Thanks for the reply.
I’ll upload the file. At least I know where I’m going wrong!
Thank you!
I understand.
I had imported the file from mit, then I deleted everything, components and blocks, and did it again.
In fact .lux comes from mit.
I’m guessing you manually went into the src folder?
A mistake not to be made!
Thank you
Ah, this was an important thing to point out unfortunately, the two platforms are not identical, and importing a project from one to the other often creates conflicts.
Yes, I searched for the .Lux block in the Screen1.bky file and deleted it.
