Hello everyone,
I’m experiencing a strange UI issue with my Kodular app, Mana Place, on my Samsung Galaxy S25 running Android 16 (API 36).
Whenever I tap a TextBox to enter text, the keyboard opens and my entire UI layout becomes distorted. Some components shrink significantly, and the overall design no longer looks as expected.
Here is what I have tested so far:
- All my components use percentage-based dimensions to make the UI responsive across different screen sizes.
- I tested the app as a compiled APK, not just in Kodular Companion.
- I initially suspected that one of my extensions was causing the issue, but removing the extensions did not solve it.
- I created a brand-new Kodular project with a TextBox, and the same issue occurred.
- I installed an older version of Mana Place on the same Samsung Galaxy S25, and it works perfectly. The layout does not get distorted when the keyboard opens.
- I restarted Kodular Creator and signed in to my account again, but the problem persists.
I do not want to enable the “Scrollable” property because my screens are not designed to scroll. I would also like to keep my percentage-based dimensions to maintain a responsive layout.
My questions are:
- Is this a known issue with Kodular when targeting Android 16 (API 36)?
- Could this be related to changes in how the keyboard or screen resizing is handled in recent Kodular builds?
- Is there a way to fix this issue while keeping percentage-based dimensions and without enabling “Scrollable”?
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
