Upcoming Changes to Kodular Auth

Hi,

Next week, we’ll begin rolling out a completely rebuilt authentication system across the Kodular platform. Here’s what’s changing, why, and what you need to know.

Why Are We Making This Change?

Our current authentication system has served us well, but it’s time for an upgrade. The new Kodular Auth is built to improve stability and user experience across the platform. It also lays the groundwork for features that have been frequently requested, such as the ability to change your email address and automatic account deletion, both coming in a future update.

What’s New

Redesigned Sign-In & Sign-Up
The login experience has been rebuilt from the ground up with a clean, modern interface. You’ll notice a new card-based design with updated branding, and the flow is now smoother across both mobile and desktop.

More Ways to Sign In
In addition to email/password and our existing social providers (Google, GitHub, Facebook), you’ll now have access to:

  • Passkeys: Sign in with your fingerprint, face, or device PIN. No password needed.
  • Magic Links: Get a one-time sign-in link sent to your email.

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
You can now protect your account with a second layer of security. We support:

  • Authenticator apps (Google Authenticator, Authy, etc.)
  • Email verification codes
  • Backup codes for recovery

Centralized Account Management
All account management is moving to Kodular Auth. This means features like changing your password, managing linked social providers, viewing active sessions, and setting up passkeys or 2FA will now be handled directly in Kodular Auth instead of My Kodular.

Gradual Rollout

The new authentication provider will be rolled out gradually across our websites starting next week. Not everything will switch over at once, as we’ll migrate services progressively to ensure a smooth transition.

Will I Lose My Account?

No. All existing accounts are preserved. As long as you have access to the email address associated with your Kodular account, you’ll be able to sign in and continue using the platform as usual. If you use email and password to sign in, your existing password will continue to work; no need to reset it.

What Changes in My Kodular

Account management options currently available in My Kodular, such as changing your password, will move to Kodular Auth. Going forward, Kodular Auth will be the single place to manage your account details and security settings. My Kodular will continue to be your hub for managing Kodular Premium and Kodular Monetize.

If you run into any issues during the transition, please report them to support@kodular.io and we’ll address them promptly.

Thank you,
Diego

What might be the issue? I was asked to re-login, then after clicking continue with Google, am facing such error.

Since i noticed you’re online, i just wanted to report it here.

This was a cache issue on Kodular Creator. We were flipping the DNS records from auth-new to use auth again, and Kodular Creator decided to cache the old ones.

Can you check if you can access creator.kodular.io again?
