What is the use of "Save" Block of Pedometer?

Hello.
I was going through the blocks of the “Pedometer” in Kodular. Everything seems fine, but what is the use of the Pedometer .Save block? How to use it?

I read the use in the Kodular Docs, but it was unclear.

Kodular Docs

Saves the pedometer state to the phone. Permits permits accumulation of steps and distance between invocations of an App that uses the pedometer. Different Apps will have their own saved state."
