Very interesting.
Android 11 sounds cool, at least for users, because developers will have a lot of job for supporting Android 11, like Kodular
It feel very bad that most of manufactures do not provide android update specially in mid range and if some do they scratch out important features.
I don’t like how App Inventor is only upto Java 8. If we were able to go higher, extension developers and Kodular itself would be able to build more components/extensions since more features exist with Android Pie. Unfortunately with Java 8, you can really only build component/extensions for around Android Oreo and that’s it, some classes and methods rolled into Android Pie, but not many that weren’t shipped with Android Oreo.
Maybe you should talk about this in MIT App Inventor Community
I don’t think so. Kodular is made from App Inventor and so are the apps
exactly therefore you should ask in the App Inventor community
the base of Kodular always will be App Inventor…
for questions concerning the base, ask at the base, which is… MIT App Inventor…
the focus of App Inventor is education… to support as much old devices as possible… backward compatibility…
Taifun
This is incredibly inconvenient moving forward, since Kodular is more geared towards making production apps in a browser.
Just flash a custom ROM in that case.
