Append to firebase how?

Hi, I’ve been looking everywhere for a solution to this issue. I’m trying to set it up so that when I hit “enter,” Firebase appends a new message to the top of an existing list, but I keep running into this error whenever I try to send a message.

I finally managed to make an outline of a tree, but still with some strange errors…
