I suggest to keep the search procedure and new tab procedure different. And when search button click
create a new tab and then call search procedure.

can you create multiple tabs from webview component of kodular? or you need customwebview for that?

Its possible but then you need to use dynamic Components Extension and some more blocks to create/hide webview.
