You can’t store lists in files directly, because after reading the file again the list is no list anymore, it only looks like a list…
To store a list in a file, first convert it into a table in csv format using the list to csv table block
To read it again, use the list from csv table block before using list blocks
Also to add an item to a list, just add tge item directly without using another list
