Basically, Dashera is celebrated to celebrate the win of good (Lord Rama) over evil (Ravana)
I would like to just give a correction, it’s a big festival, not the biggest 
The biggest is coming on 27th Oct. (Diwali)
Also, on 27th, it’s my b’day too
