How to change the font of a password type textbox?

Hi!
I’m creating a register form and I’m using different textboxes to input the email and the password.
My problem is the following: The password type textbox has a different hint text font.
Do you know how can I use another font?

PD: Someone made the same question as me, but the answer was the following:
“In the password box.
Text will shown like astriks ****
So why do you need fonts ?”

I need to change the font to show the hint, so I need a new answer

Do you know some way to use a normal textbox but replace the characters as * or something like that?

Just change the textbox type to normal, change it back to password type when needed.
