How to download files without them appearing on notification bar?

Hi, everyone. I guess I have found the answer for this very question in this forum before but I am not finding the answer now.

I need to download files without the user finding out they are being downloaded so I don’t want the users to see download progress at notification bar.
How can I do it please?
