How to make Animation or Movement of moving image sprite visible?

I want to make my image sprite (the white pawn) “movement or animation” visible inside a canvas when I clicked the forward button, as of now when I clicked the forward button it instantly go to a specific location as if it like teleporting, I hope you can help me, thanks for the answer.
