Http Server πŸ™Œ πŸ™ - Please

I have contacted some extension developers and have not found an answer …

Is it possible for someone to make a simple http server …?

since there is a lot of ignorance about this I answer you, an http server would allow to use all the functionalities of html5 and javascript to its maximum power.

By default browsers such as webview block access to assets, when they are loaded by javascript, this is done for security, so the browser requires it to be done through http.

There are many Javascrip libraries that I want to use on mobile but I won’t be able to until I have an http server …

I am even designing a Game that will not be able to be published if there is no simple http server in the app

Did you try the Simple Web Server Extension by Juan Antonio?

I will try Again, but when i was trying in the past was not util because don’t send binary files, and does not allow to set response headers… like Content-Type or Content-Length, or the ability to set the http port diferent to 8080, or to allow open port only locally…

but I’m going to try it again anyway,
It would be very good if the author published the code to be able to modify it…

Thank you…

Perhaps you need termux?

It would be used for my experiments but not for production.

Can you imagine publishing a game in HTML5 and the user downloading it but for it to work you must install Termux (file size is @ 85mb) which is no longer in the PlayStore so you will have to go to the FDroid and authorize the installation of unsigned software.

it’s too many steps
I think that it is easier for the user not to install anything and look for another app that works…

Anyway, I thank you because the page you sent me has other very good resources.

Perhaps Kodular is the wrong platform for building an HTML5 game…

If it serves for everything else it must also serve for this, there are no impossible things but incapable men…

currently I can do it and compile it in GO language I am also doing it in HAXE Language with OPENFL and it works Great …

But since I have so much love for this KODULAR platform, I wanted to include it in my projects
But if in the end I do not succeed, I will continue by my side, I will keep you updated…

Hi @condigital,

You shouldn’t create HTML games with Kodular, it’s not made for that. It’s also not made for you to use only a webview in your project.

Sincerely,

Hi,Nathan… and why not?

I already have applications published in Google Play only with a Web View and it works very well, because all the UI is made there and everything is done with Kodular and Appy Builder…

This Project was made only with a WEBVIEW

The programmers should not have limits, nor unbreakable structures. if it can be done it will be done.

There is a js app framework called Androidjs. It runs a node server in the background and you can develop android app using js, html, and nodejs as backend

you can use https://spaces.w3schools.com/

Thank You But i have 4 VPS servers, and many Hosting i don’t need put code on internet…!
i need a local web server on the mobile

I hate node js but i love to learn so i will give it a look
Thank You.

I have to clarify that what I am looking for is not to create an app with html, that I am already doing and it is efficient, currently it is very easy to build the UI with HTML and CSS, this is already solved and an http server is not needed for this. .

The HTTP server is only required to enable special Javascript functions.

For example through Javascript You can work with WEBGL and create 3D graphics

With Javascript you can take live audio or sound files and manipulate it to add Reverb or Create an Audio Compressor … you can also create an audio equalizer …

with Javascript You can enable the microphone and record directly in mp3 not wav.

with javascript you can enable the camera and add effects to the live video … also manipulate images and add filters.

you can compress data and there are thousands of libraries for everything else …

I know there are many alternatives on the market, including Apache Cordova and many more,

but I put this post not to be sent to other products, but to know if someone can build an efficient web server extension for Kodular …

Thank you…!

Have a look it is a decent and lightweight framework. Nodejs is basically javascript and I hated it myself before. Php was my first choice but now it’s nodejs for me for server side.

Faced with the impossibility of finding an extension that works as a web server. make the decision to explore other alternatives

Android-JS and OpenFL

but in the end I stayed with OpenFL, because the apk was smaller and the load was faster …
