Image sprites heading

I dont really understand what Heading does for image sprites
it says
Returns the sprite’s heading in degrees above the positive x-axis. Zero degrees is toward the right of the screen; 90 degrees is toward the top of the screen.
but i dont understand what this means if i change heading to 90 nothing changes

I think it means if the sprite moves then goes to heading

Uhh thank you this mean if rotation is off heading does nothing?
