One signal - Target SDK - Android or Webserver API?

I am setting up one signal for my android app with kodular.
Some youtube videos suggest using Native android as target SDK where as few other videos suggest using Webserver API.

Which is the correct option, kindly give an explanation for the same.

We have OneSignal native Android SDK integrated with the Push Notifications component.
