Please tell me how to send notifications directly using firebase cloud messaging because one signal have some restrictions like only one running in app messaging for free.

yes i am facing same problem… 
when my apps are closed onesignal doesnt work.
It works only when my apps are running in background or apps are open at that time.
Can anyone help us …any alternative way ?
