Sort list alphabetically

I have search the community and have found references to the extensions List AddOn and List Utilities, but the first one says it is discontinued and the links to the second do not work. I have also found the extension SortList, but every time I use it i get the com.google.appinvention.components.runtime.util.YailList cannot cast to java,lang.string. I have tried in multiple times with different blocks and configurations. Does anyone know of another way to sort, and save, a list alphabetically. The list has over 20 items and needs be done multiple time with each use and the list is different each time. Any help is greatly appreciated.
