A Mexican soap opera

Every time you need to make this API change, this event turns into a Mexican soap opera, no one deserves that.

My developer account is going to be canceled on PlayConsole because I can’t send a new version of the app.

What now?

Why do you think so?

You only have to verify the account for your account not getting removed

Okay, I’ve updated my developer account, now I need to adjust the API.

If you know that this always happens, why do you let this happen?

Every time you need to update the API, like I said: It turns into a Mexican soap opera, it never ends.

Wouldn’t it be more practical to be proactive and anticipate the problem?

It doesn’t even make sense for me to be guiding capable professionals like you, but this is a shame.

Here’s the message I received: The app needs to target Android 14 (API level 34) or newer.

I don’t know how to solve this.

Here’s the message I received:

App updates with these issues will be rejected
The app must target Android 14 (API level 34) or newer.

I don’t know how to fix this.

A lot of people unfortunately do not understand the situation… actually it is very simple:

If you like to publish an update of your app, then request an extension in Google Play

You will be able to request an extension to November 1, 2024 if you need more time to update your app.

build your project with SDK 33 and upload it to Google Play

If you don’t like to publish an update of your app, then just do nothing and later after SDK 34 is available update your project.
