Bluetooth BLE beacon

Hello,

I want to make an app that would connect to Bluetooth 4.0 beacons.
I tried doing it like you would connect to Bluetooth 2.0, but it doesn’t work.
To connect to a Bluetooth device using the app I made, I would have to get
paired with the BLE module.
Is there a way to make it detect BLE beacons?
I am working with the HC-08.
