I went back to the site and now the data i entered is gone. Why is that?
If you have a smaller screen, try scrolling down. I added a message to the top of the dashboard for users whose data is not yet available to the extension. This message might be the reason you don’t see it.
Wow, it is back after i downloaded the new extension. Before there was only an empty app data section.
Huh. Funny.
Great job @cedkim
I don’t understand why is it free
(I have got same doubts asked by @almeidapablo )
Please explain a little bit about database structure as you are saying it is a unique data base
Panel website is a dashboard to edit data
When data is requested by app, will your website work as mediator to get data - which increases latency
I also try something to write code for database with some uniqueness
The database is decentralized and powered by the Blockstack blockchain platform. When data is requested by the app, the request goes directly to Blockstack. The technology is actually made in a way that it is only possible for authorized users to edit data. You are automatically an authorized user for your data. There are also no superusers who can edit everything; everyone owns their data. Due to the architecture of Blockstack, costs are so miniscule that nobody really has to pay anything.
Can we see post data blocks in future?
Are JSON child objects allowed like firebase?
If yes, can we get it like firebase
(Data/Subdata)
Since all data is stored as JSON, you can have child objects. Even child objects inside child objects inside child objects. You could use that like Firebase’s nesting of data.
Oh. Well, I personally hate low-resolution images, but I guess that’s no excuse.
Is it possible to post data to Blockstack by user
What do you mean?
We can only get data with this extension
Is it possible to write data by user to Blockstack?
I think yes.
Can you implement it in extension?
Well, it is possible to write data from the user to Blockstack (not with Panel though), but then you would want something almost completely different from Panel. I’m actually working on an extension just for that.
It would be good if we can edit/write data.
As I said, Panel is supposed to be a web admin panel that allows the app to read, not write variables. I’m working on an extension that allows securely editing data. Until then, please wait.
Yes, this is how it should look.
I have a question for you all. Your answer will help determine which type of ‘public key’ Panel will use going forward. Would you rather…
- Have a simple username and wait up to 24 hours
- Have a long string of numbers and letters and skip the wait
