Hi,
The website https://worldtimeapi.org/api/timezone/Etc/UTC is not opening for me. Is there any alternative API or method to get the global time?
I want the app to show the daily question when the user clicks on it. If the user tries to open the question again on the same day, the app should tell them something like “Please wait until tomorrow” or “The next question will be available soon.”
When the next day arrives, the app should show the new question in order — for example, question 1 on day 1, question 2 on day 2, and so on.
Could you please advise on how to implement this?
Thank you!
For this issue, I already created an extension which you can try- [Paid] Online Date Pro Extension | Unhackable Date | 100% Uptime | Create Subscription App | Show Live Countdown Days, Weeks Ago Pattern - Extensions - Kodular Community
Such websites are not trustable! I was using their API’s for getting online date but my apps got affected because the connection to their sites not always served, if lots of request made to their sites then such things just collapse and we have to suffer for such free things.
Sign up and get free api, then get the online time
Hi dear,
Try this (google header method)
This thread too can help you without an extension using web component
But not from world api
Thank you all so much for your valuable suggestions and support!
I really appreciate the time and effort everyone put into sharing different approaches. I found all the solutions very helpful.
I decided to combine the second approach — using the free online time API — with the fourth approach — using the clock and millis to manage timing — to create a more reliable and flexible solution for my app.
This way, I can use the API to get accurate global time, and the clock to handle local timing for showing questions every 24 hours.
Thanks again for all your help! I’ll update if I face any further challenges.
