How do you request and grant →
MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE on devices with Android 11+? I am aware that this permission is usually not granted by Google, but - let’s assume - the app is only intended for private use or for special users.
permissions_5.apk (5.2 MB)
I also declared this permission in the Manifest:
If you request
WRITE permission on Android 11, this permission will NOT be granted because it no longer exists on Android 11+. (This is currently a bug in AI2, Kodular and Niotron). Instead of
WRITE , however,
READ permission is granted (on Android 11+) .

I got it done: permissions_5.apk (5.4 MB)
If someone wants to check that, test it on Android 11+, because this is only relevant for those devices.
That are great news! Can you elaborate this new possibilities?
In which directories can we save files? (I assume that the files are readable in every directory). What are the limitations?
When we are finally free from these file management restrictions this would be a real milestone!
PS: Unfortunately I can’t test your apk because I have no Android 11 device at home
Works fine on my device.
This means we access all directory with this permission like android/media
And how to declare this permission in our app mentioned a guide please
