How many banner ad per screen
Does ad manager count every banner or only just one per screen

I think 1 will be enough

I think if you have a long text in one screen you can put more ads between the text separating some paragraph. Maybe 2-3 Ads could be well.

use 1 for each screen. follow Admob policy. also if you are using arrangments then you can show 1 banner on each.
