How to create an attractive UI (QR Scanner & Generator) with screenshots

Currently i am making a qr scanner & generator app but its UI i not so good . So how can i improve my app’s UI. Can anyone help me please.

This screen is NOT a current or beautiful UI. I did it as soon as I started learning Kodular.
It’s not a modern UI.

Your buttons : insert them into CardView, make them transparent and add color to CardViews. And change the round corner of the card view.
