Project settings

Has anyone else had issues with exporting their project to an APK due to the choice of the app icon? The whole settings section seems somehow incomplete; once you enter the data, there is no confirm button, and the settings are constantly lost as soon as you leave Project Settings. The Icon and Splash Screen options don’t show any choices from the Assets Manager at all, even though several suitable images are uploaded there—they just show ‘none’? Because of this, it won’t convert to an APK, and it displays the error: something went wrong while getting the default icon’. How can this be resolved?

I have tried clearing the cache, changing the name, dimensions, non-transparent background, and changing the images—literally everything—but nothing helped.

Try a png image 512 x 512 px
Taifun

By default, it’s save after closing it automatically

It should but it doesn’t, try saving the project.

Edit: On Chrome it works as it should, Firefox you have to save the project after changing.

Edit2: Saving sporadically in Firefox :face_with_head_bandage:

I am using Firefox and I also tried Edge, so do I really have to install Chrome just to be able to export the application to an APK? OK, I will try that too.

Only Chrome. Solved. It would be nice if that information was displayed prominently somewhere.

I’ve always used Firefox and never had this problem, i think there’s another variable involved.

anyway, I’m glad you solved it
