Is it possible to scan a QR code from the gallery/from an image instead of the camera?

I know that we can do it using an API. Hence, i have tried it but it is not working and giving me an error. So, please can anybody give me .aia file or share the blocks for how to read qr code from image using API or any other method if possible. You can use an extension for reading QR code:

Or you can use a JS library in WebViewer as ShaikhSajidAli said,
