I am not sure this is not bug. The most problem is you have not initialise the recycler in screen initialise. After getting data it seems you have initialised so that it creates duplicate after getting second time data.
Try to move the recycler init block in screen initialise. You won’t see this
Why I am telling this mean, me too had the same feeling when I use this extension very first time but time later I corrected
