Can we use publicly available URL using ‘Custom Tab’ in our App?
I have read the various discussion on the use of third party websites through Web View is not allowed or not legal in absence of the owners consent or permission.
However, using URL of a website (that publicly available) through ‘Custom Tab’ is equal to browsing that URL in Google Chrome browser. Because, we do not have any option to customise the ‘Custom Tab’ or control the user once he is in the ‘Custom Tab’. On this basis I believe i can use any publicly available URL using ‘Custom Tab’ without consent or permission of that website owner.
Is my thought correct ?
Please advise…
