Your solution works for android version above kitkat or more( i do not know clearly) because i tested in my kitkat phone and it shows about this application on pressing back to task button.
If this is a requirement you can set the minimum SDK to
Certain features need a certain SDK level. Its that simple.
You can also remove ’ about this application ’ from screen settings.

You will still have the same name About this application but you can change to something else

No, the solution has already been checked.
But that only hides options menu.In <Lollipop android options menu is visible by pressing back to task button ( This happened with me).So I am saying this.Otherwise it is good for above android version than 4.0
I don’t think this is important much, because most device already switched to Lollipop and newer versions.
