Barcode reader question

Is the barcode reader component able to read any other barcode than QRCode?

I tried a creating a sample app (of course!) and doesn’t seem to recognize the barcode… the redline comes up but no scan result. It no even leaves the scanning screen.
I tried this barcode:

Any thoughts?

Barcode scanner can read ean-13. Show the blocks you made please.
