[Discontinued] Background Tasks [4.1] 🥳

App stopped working
with ;
only extension
&&
extension + blocks

I feel this would be a good help, i’ve spent the last 4 days reading what feels like almost all of these posts trying to get my head around how to use the extension and although i dont consider myself a dummy, id have to admit i’m still struggling.
The posts that have visual examples of the blocks is by far easier to understand.

Bharat… if you feel the urge to do similar guides then it has my vote :slight_smile: just helps connect the relation between kodular blocks and the extension blocks, helps my brain to connect the dots so to speak

I consider myself a dummy still managed to understand it. This guy has been developing this extension for months for free. He provide support that I have never seen before using his free time and you people just don’t appreciate it. Take the time and learn it. Everything is the topic

yeah absolutely, wasnt saying the support wasn’t there or the extension was no good, far from it. Just saying it takes a bit of time and research before things start to make sense. When i get my head around it i might do some guides myself :slight_smile:

Seriously, everything is there. I know it takes time but it’s there

My tests are over, I can be active again :smiley:

About the location sensor,(lat/long) if anyone is willing to test the app (I really can’t go out) can P.M me.

Two people (@fernando_soliz and @Raja_HarshVardhanSolanki) have tested the app with Location Sensor sending Lat and Long to Firebase, working successfully.

Tested with LocationSensor (not GoogleMaps component).
As GoogleMaps is a heavy component, so I choose the Location Sensor.

Also, there was a fault of the extension this is fixed in the 3.8 updates, expected to release the fix by tomorrow.
Apps are tested with < 10 devices.

Since android 10+ brings new restrictions towards the usage of Location data in a Background or Foreground service. The person has to allow specific kinds of permissions to get that working. So not sure how this will behave on those devices.

Since this is will not be the fault of the extension, I can’t give proper support on this (I’ll try to), (also not familiar with these things).

@Carloslirio, you may look at this (post).

Hi Joko, I couldn’t test the project AIA file that you had provided, you may say here what you are trying to achieve with the extension.

I recommend you to create the task in Screen1 as the extension is made to imitate the behavior of the activity Screen1.

Also please say us, what you are trying to do? Are you trying to show notification every interval? There are many examples out there.

@Xoma …May I know what is the Queue Number of my probelm :grin:

@Xoma hello, i have already tested it in screen 1 it did not work. I would like to send a notification when a certain battery level is reached, a notification should be sent that the charger can be disconnected from the smartphone. I have published a battery manager and would like to publish it as an update

In my app, there is contorlated charging, many users want a notification that can be set so that they know when the battery level is reached to disconnect the charger, many users only want to charge it to 80% and a notification would be good, and that’s what I wanted to do with your extension because it should always query in the background.

My App:
