What is media store API
On newer Android versions, Scoped Storage restricts apps accessing all files on the device, and the permissions are handled via the Media Store API. You may read more about it here:

Do you use MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE permission ? If yes this is the reason app was rejected because that permission is usually not granted by Google

Using All Files Access Permission by DeepHost is a great option. I use this to export titles as images in the Title Designer app I created 2 months. It works on my Friend’s phone running Android 12.
