Beware: Paid Updates for an Extension After Purchase – Unfair Practice

I want to share my experience with an extension I purchased for Kodular. Initially, I bought the extension expecting full functionality and support. However, after some time, the developer released an update and demanded an additional payment to access it, even though there was no prior clarification that updates would be paid. This feels unfair and exploitative.

Moreover, I had previously reported issues with the extension, but instead of providing proper fixes or support, the developer ignored them. In contrast, other developers offer similar extensions for just $3, with better support and regular bug fixes

To make matters worse, my apps were generating revenue with free extensions, but with this paid extension, I ended up spending more than I earned because of the continuous update fees

"Has anyone else faced a similar issue? I believe we need more transparency regarding extension pricing and updates in the Kodular community.

Would you like to reveal the extension and developer?

He is talking about my AdMob extension.

I’ve sent you all minor updates without any costs.

Your reported issue is getting lower eCPM rate. This issue is not relate with extension when I provided you every recent (latest) update.

I agreed here. I’ll update the topic.

Why don’t you let others express their opinions kindly? All you have is attacks. Let everyone offer their experience and opinion on what is offered on this platform. It has been declining ever since it became a subscription platform. I wish it would offer integrated AdMob extensions, even with an increase in the subscription, so that people do not fall prey to exploitative developers.

Unfortunately when I expressed my opinion, instead of letting people express their opinions, he suspended my post on the forum. It’s shameful.

You have purchased the extension since v23.2.0 and I have sent you every minor update from time to time. As always I charge a bit for major updates. Then again you will be able to get minor updates without any costs.

Would you like me to address this issue for you?

Your post appears as a spam, nothing else. You are trying to create a bad image for no valid reason.

  • $10 is a very large amount to update the extension
  • You did not say from the beginning that each update will be for more than the original extension price and there was no clarity about that
  • You did not clarify what the update is and what its benefits are
  • It is supposed that the update is free of charge or that it is explained in advance and that it is for new subscribers at a price and for original subscribers at a different price
  • You do not want to gain or keep people
  • As for the comment on the post, unfortunately you used your authority as a moderator. This is not correct
