I think the Companion does not work because Android 4.4.2 uses the Dalvik runtime. Android 5.0+ uses the ART runtime, I guess that’s why on Android 4.4.2 stops running.

The runtime error is normal because it is not a full companion.
It is a new one (not completed). only for testing.
