Sharing an Image from my phone

I have a file Manager installed on my phone, and that´s the path to get to the picture i like to share.

Permission problem

You can not share assets (with the sharing component). You must first copy them to the external storage (eg: storage/emulated/0/Music) by using eg Taifun’s file extension. App Inventor Extensions: File | Pura Vida Apps For this WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE permission is required. So ask for WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE at Screen1.Initialize instead of READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE. Note: READ is automatically granted.

I’ve tried to make it like this and it works without need permissions from the app.

/storage/emulated/0/WhatsApp/Media/WhatsApp Images/YourImage.jpg

I think the problem is in your block, can you show me your block?

or maybe the problem is that you didn’t add a slash behind “storage”

That is not what I said. In my post, I only said that you cannot share files from the assets, but that you have to copy them to the external storage first. And for this purpose, WRITE permission is required.

On which device and Android version do you have problems to use this path:
