I would like to request the return of the “Import/Export Blocks” feature that existed in the classic builder. This functionality was extremely useful for transferring block structures between screens and projects, backing up complex logic, and collaborating with others. The backpack system is helpful, but it does not fully replace the flexibility and reliability of JSON-based block import/export.
Please consider re-introducing this feature in the new builder, as it would greatly improve workflow efficiency for many developers.
Thank you for your hard work and continuous improvements.
By saving the blocks as PNG, you can later import them by dragging them into the Block Viewer.
And you can also share them with collaborators.
You should make a local backup of the project, so this shouldn’t be a problem ![]()
Since the project still needs to be shared anyway, I don’t think having the option to save a layout in JSON is relevant.
You can still use the schemas from DynamicComponents or RecyclerList to share an entire layout, but I reiterate that the project itself would still need to be exchanged.
And it would be enough to copy the layout by importing the project and doing copy and paste.
