What exactly is Airtable 5 requests/second limit?

If there are more than 5 users getting data from airtable simultaneously, will it cause an error? Or is the limit based on IP address? Meaning 1 user cannot simultaneously request 5 times under 1 second? Please clear this out.

I’m not sure but I think its the first one.Maximum 5 users can perform read or write operation at a same time in same Airtable project.
It will be better if you ask this in their forum, you will get better response there.

Not only five users but five requests from a single device will lead an error

have a look here Is the API Rate Limit per API Key or APP ID? - Ask the community - Airtable Community Forum

So, according to this, the limit is based on IP address? Meaning 1 user cannot simultaneously request 5 times in 1 sec?

yes, according to this post

Then all my problems are solved! Still before I start to build my app, let’s see what the airtable team have to say.

Thats too LOW.

You will not really face any problems. It will continue to work without errors
At least in my case, I didn’t have any.

Still, it’s a limitation…
